The Barbershop Talk Series returns this November 8th to 16th, following our powerful gathering at Gun Hill Signal Station in August. This series is more than an event—it’s a movement, igniting honest conversations in local barbershops and uniting our community to confront and reshape the narratives around Black masculinity.

In partnership with St. Leonard’s Boys School, we are hosting two pivotal workshops on November 11th and 13th. These sessions will offer a safe, affirming space for young Black men in Barbados to share their stories, reflect on their realities, and challenge the misconceptions of block culture and gang affiliation. Together, we’ll explore the deeper meanings of love, loyalty, and respect—values that strengthen both self and community.

We invite educators, counsellors, community leaders, youth workers, scholars, and all those touched by these issues to join us. This is a space for listening, learning, and collective action—a chance to move beyond blame and build systems that uplift and empower our young men.
