This Post Secondary Survival Guides series workshop will discuss the key topic of how to apply to university or college in Ontario
The Afro-Caribbean Mentorship Program aims to support and empower Afro-Caribbean Black (ACB) youth in their academic success. The ACMP recognizes the challenges of applying to postsecondary institutions for racialized students due to various factors stemming from institutional racism. Following the success of the ACMP’s first high school outreach event, the team has decided to create a Post Secondary Survival Guides series in which we will discuss key topics such as: how to apply to university or college in Ontario? How to finance your post secondary education through provincial programs like Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP)? How to apply to scholarships via websites like ScholarTree? The ACMP is here to ease your anxiousness and walk you through everything you need to start your academic journey. This FREE workshop will be an informative event for anyone interested or worrying about their application to post-secondary institutions, particularly in Ontario.
