As a follow up to our January 22nd event, this event hosted African descent Therapists/Psychologists through an online panel discussion – Locating the (A)ccess for African descent people in addressing their MENTAL HEALTH concerns.

The purpose was to explore further ways to give more insight and education on how to serve our ACB communities to address mental health concerns. The event focused on providing ACB community members and the broader community with the opportunity to talk about mental health issues openly and safely with mental health professionals.

This event was well received by participants. The key take-away from this event was providing access to mental health resources for members of the ACB community. It was also clear that there is a need for continued mental health support throughout the course of your life. This event demonstrated the importance of creating a safe space for participants to interact with mental health professionals in a meaningful way.
