The Afro-Caribbean Mentorship Program (ACMP) in partnership with Harprit Gill, certified independent financial advisor, presents:

The 3rd Annual Financial Literacy: The “Money Talks Workshop.”

Various economic indicators highlight the financial gap among the Afro-Caribbean Black (ACB) community from their Whites counterparts, such as their net worth and the likelihood of carrying student-loan debt. A study done by the Global Financial Literacy Excellence Center suggests that one way of addressing these gaps is to focus on financial literacy.

With that in mind, on Friday, November 20th, 2020, the Afro-Caribbean Mentorship Program (ACMP) and Harprit Gill will be holding the 3rd annual Financial Literacy event titled: The “Money Talks” Workshop. This event will provide valuable information to students to prepare them to handle their finances both during and after university. The “Money Talks Workshop” will be offering a hands-on and interactive approach to financial literacy. Attendees will be given the opportunity to interact with a financial adviser to answer any questions they may have about managing their money.

Featured speakers include:

Harprit Gill certified independent financial advisor and executive director of the Citizen Empowerment Project.

Jabez Arkaifie: Branch Manager with RBC
